What bathroom renovations usually means in Mississauga
Mississauga is mostly post-war and later: sixties and seventies backsplits and sidesplits through Cooksville and Applewood, eighties and nineties two storeys across Erin Mills and Meadowvale, and older lakeside homes around Port Credit and Lorne Park. A copper soaking tub on hand-finished stumps
This one was not out of a catalogue. The homeowners had a copper soaking tub and wanted it to feel like it belonged in the room rather than parked in it.
We finished the stumps it rests on, tiled the floor in large-format stone, and built the slate fireplace surround in the adjoining room with live-edge timber legs to tie the two spaces together.

Do you need a permit for bathroom renovations in Mississauga?
Permits are issued by the City of Mississauga, and whether you need one depends on the scope. Structural changes, new plumbing, and new circuits almost always require one. We confirm the requirement for your address and handle the application and inspections as part of the job.
How far into Mississauga do you travel?
All of it, including Port Credit, Lorne Park, Streetsville, Clarkson. Mississauga is inside our normal working area, so you are not paying for a special trip.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Three to six weeks for most full bathrooms. Tile and waterproofing have cure times that cannot be rushed, and we would rather wait than have you call us back.
Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?
Yes, this is one of the most common requests we get. It involves reframing the alcove, relocating or adapting the drain, and waterproofing the new base.
Do you install heated floors?
Yes. Electric in-floor heat under tile is straightforward to add during a renovation and it is much cheaper to do then than later.
Will my bathroom be out of service the whole time?
That bathroom will be, yes. If it is your only bathroom, tell us at the quote stage and we will sequence the work to shorten the gap as much as possible.
