A century home kitchen in Guelph
We took this kitchen back to the studs. Behind the lath we found newspaper from the 1920s still stuffed in the walls, along with the wiring and plumbing you would expect in a house that age.
What went back in was a full rebuild: new subfloor, insulation, wiring, a vaulted ceiling with a skylight, sage shaker cabinets with brass pulls, quartz counters, and a live-edge sill under the window over the sink.
